John attended Oklahoma State University and later the Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, where he pursued studies in Construction Industries. After completing his education, he began building his career in construction while raising a young family.

Following his relocation to the Oklahoma City area, John established J&L Construction, LLC in 1993. As the company grew and its focus expanded, the business evolved into what is known today as J&L Construction & Remodeling, LLC, reflecting a strong commitment to both quality construction and exceptional remodeling services.

John is a Native American who is federally registered with the Seneca-Cayuga Tribe of Oklahoma and is proud to operate a minority-owned business. His heritage, combined with decades of hands-on experience in the construction industry, continues to shape the values of craftsmanship, integrity, and dedication that define the company today.
